A large crowd turned out this evening at Bellevue City Hall for the official swearing in ceremony for new Mayor Rusty Hike and new Council Members Bob Stinson and Kathy Welch!
Outgoing Mayor Rita Sanders and Outgoing Council Members John Hansen and Jim Moudry took a moment beforehand to thank the citizens of Bellevue for the opportunity to serve and wished the newly elected officials well. On her way out of the council chambers Mayor Sanders stopped and passed the gavel to incoming Mayor Hike.
After the swearing in ceremony and a brief reception, Mayor Hike and the City Council went right to work. One of the first items on the agenda was the appointment and approval of a contract for Jim Ristow, currently the CEO of the Greater Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, to serve as the City Administrator for Bellevue. The contract states that Mr. Ristow will start full time employment with the City of Bellevue on January 1, 2019.
Thank you for your service and commitment to Bellevue, Mayor Sanders, Councilman Hansen and Councilman Moudry and Congratulations and Best wishes to Mayor Hike, Councilwoman Welch, Councilman Stinson and City Administrator Ristow!
