Kids camp is our annual camp held every summer at the Bellevue Fire Departments training site located at 3100 Cornhusker Road. The camp is free to kids ages 5-11 years old and runs all day on a saturday from 08:00am to 4:00pm. The kids are provided breakfast, lunch, and a gift bag all free of charge.
While at camp the kids learn about fire safety, how to dial 9-1-1, basic first aid, bicycle safety, water safety, the importance of wearing seat belts and much, much more. Their day ends with water games all with a firefighting theme.
We also have LifeNet Omaha bring one of their medical helicopters for the kids to see, and the Nebraska State Patrol bring their rollover demonstrator and “Convincer” out to show the kids the importance of wearing seat belts.
Sign ups usually begin in April and are posted in the press, on Bellevue TV Channel 17 and on the station billboards.
