The City of Bellevue Recreation Department is staffed by two full time employees, Parks & Recreation Director Jim Shada and Assistant Recreation Director John Bryan. The Department of Recreation offers a variety of activities that appeal to the diverse interests of our community and strives to meet the leisure needs of our citizens.
The Recreation Department offers 50 different activities throughout the year, providing recreational outlets for an estimated 97,000 participants. Some of the highlighted activities include the Youth Baseball/Softball program with approximately 1300 participants, Swimming Lessons with 600 participants, and Track Club with 130 participants.
The Department of Recreation also has activities for adults, including softball, basketball, and volleyball leagues.
