City of Bellevue's Recreation Department has Announced that Two Pools will Open for the Season on Monday, June 15th

The City of Bellevue's Recreation Department has announced that Cascio and Gilbert Pools will open for the season on Monday, June 15th with new guidelines and regulations. Both pools will be open daily at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm for 90 minute open swim sessions which will allow for staff to sanitize high touch areas every hour and a half. Cascio Pool will also be open on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm and Gilbert Pool will be open late on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

Patrons will be allowed to enter the facilities during the 90 minute swim period and then shall be required to exit the facilities at the end of each session. If a patron would like to re-enter the pool for the next 90 minute swim session, they must get back in line for the next session but there will be no additional charge for the day. All swim sessions will be on a first come and first serve basis based on the capacity limitations layed out in the latest Directed Health Measures. All patrons waiting in line to get into the facility will be required to wear masks in the waiting area.

Here are some additional regulations that will be in place during this year's pool season based on Health Department guidelines.

  • All swimmers will be required to shower in their bathing suits with soap, prior to entering the pool deck.
  • All swimmers will be required to sign in when entering the pool facility.
  • No groups of more than 6 individuals will be allowed to gather In or Out of the pool.
  • If your group has more than 6 individuals, you will be asked to separate and maintain a 6 foot distance.
  • The City will have sanitation stations for use by the public.
  • The City will sanitize all high touch areas between the 90 minute swim sessions.

Although the City will take as many safety and sanitation steps as possible, the City cannot guarantee the sanitation of all public facilities and the public will be using these areas at their own risk.
