The City of Bellevue's Public Works Department and Papillion Sanitation would like to remind Bellevue residents that under the new Solid Waste Program, the yard waste pickup season will end on November 30, 2018. Yard waste will not be picked up after this date. From December 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019 residents may use their brown container for landfill trash.
As residents finish their fall cleanup for the season please remember that according to the Papillion Sanitation website, "there is no limit to compostable yard waste curbside collection from April 1st through November 30th. All compostable yard waste that does not fit into your cart will need to be bagged in compostable brown paper biodegradable bags and set next to your compostable yard waste cart." Additionally, the City of Bellevue reminds residents that the City opens its Tree Dump to citizens for free disposal of tree related debris on the last Saturday of every month from 8am to Noon. The Tree Dump is located at the gated entrance just north of 8902 Cedar Island Road, intersecting at Rose Lane. Limbs and branches collected at this site are mulched for reuse at public parks, school and other locations.
Papillion Sanitation also reminds Bellevue customers that they will be closed on Thursday, November 22 for Thanksgiving and there will be no trash pick-up. Thursday and Friday pick-ups will be delayed one day that week. Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
