Bellevue Police Department to Hold Promotional Ceremony

Ceremony will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Bellevue City Hall

The Bellevue Police Department and the City of Bellevue are proud to announce that a Promotional Ceremony will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the City Council Chambers at Bellevue City Hall which is located at 1500 Wall Street in Bellevue. The following Bellevue Police Officers will receive their promotions at this time:

  • Lieutenant Tim Melvin was promoted to the rank of Captain April 19, 2018 and serves as Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division. Captain Melvin has served the Bellevue Police Department for 18 years.
  • Sergeant Andy Jashinke will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and will continue as Professional Standards Investigator. Lt. Jashninke has served the Bellevue Police Department for 19 years.
  • Sergeant Derek Bees will also be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lt. Bees has served the Bellevue Police Department for 22 years.
  • Officer Matt Bryl was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on April 15, 2018 and is assigned to uniform patrol. Sgt. Bryl has served the Bellevue Police Department for 7 years.
  • Officer Bryan Mercer was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on April 29, 2018 and is assigned to uniform patrol. Sgt, Mercer has served the Bellevue Police Department for 9 years.
  • Officer Matt Hoffman will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant and will be assigned uniform patrol. Sgt. Hoffman has served the Bellevue Police Department for 13 years.

Members of the public and the media are welcome to attend this ceremony. A cake and punch reception will be held after the ceremony.
