Construction Work on the Median of Cornhusker Road Between 10th Street and Fort Crook Rd to Begin on Monday, May 8th

The Bellevue Public Works Department has reported that construction work on the concrete median of Cornhusker Road between 10th Street and Fort Crook Road is scheduled to begin Monday, May 8, 2017. While the road will not be closed, lane restrictions will be necessary to allow for this work, so motorists should expect delays.  The median work is expected to last approximately one week.

This work in the median is in preparation for repairs to the bridge carrying Cornhusker Road over the Union Pacific Railroad.  The bridge repairs are scheduled to begin after Memorial Day, and last about two months, depending on weather conditions.

The Bellevue Public Works Department would like to remind the public not to move or otherwise tamper with barricades or other warning devices.  They are the primary mechanism for identifying potentially unsafe conditions.  As applicable, please advise others of the upcoming work and the need to exercise due care when in areas near or adjacent to the construction areas and activities.  If you have any questions, please call the Public Works Department at 402-293-3025.
