Bellevue Hosts Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

The City of Bellevue hosted it's annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, April 12th at the Beardmore Event Center of Bellevue. Mayor Rita Sanders pointed out how fortunate Bellevue is to have hundreds of volunteers that spend thousands of hours of their own time to serve on one or more of the city’s many boards and commissions that help Bellevue Grow and Prosper. This event gives City Council Members and City Officials the opportunity to thank these individuals that collectively serve on 21 different Boards, Committees and Commissions that help make Bellevue a great place to live, work and play while preserving our history and planning for the future.

Following an Invocation from Councilman Don Preister and dinner, the volunteers were treated to a spirited performance by the vocal group "West Connection", from Bellevue West High School, led by Janelle Reetz. Following the performance, Bellevue City Council President,Jim Moudry and City Administrator, Joe Mangiamelli offered their thanks and appreciation to the many volunteers in the Bellevue Community before Mayor Sanders closed the evening by highlighting some of the efforts and achievements by these groups and committees over the past year.

The City of Bellevue would like to thank all of the countless individuals in our community, who donate so much of their time, efforts and resources for the betterment of our community!
