The City of Bellevue has announced that American Heroes Park will temporarily close to the public starting at 8:00am on Wednesday, August 11th through 4:00pm on Friday, August,13th. This closure will allow Bellevue Community Foundation and City of Bellevue crews an opportunity to set up for this weekend’s Bellevue Rocks! Celebration which will be held at the Park. American Heroes Park is located on the banks of the Missouri River, just north of the Bellevue Bridge off of Mission Avenue.
On Saturday, August 14th, American Heroes Park will also be closed to the public until the gates open for the Bellevue Rocks! event at 4pm. Additionally, American Heroes Park will remain closed on Sunday, August 15th for cleanup before reopening to the public on Monday, August 16th at 9am.
The Bellevue Police Department will be monitoring the entrance to this park during these times and barricades will be in place. Only those individuals and vehicles assisting with the setup of the event will be allowed access through a checkpoint at the entrance.
