Shamrock Painting in Olde Towne Bellevue Today

Watch for lane restrictions today, Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Franklin Street as members of the Bellevue Community Foundation and other will be participating in the annual painting of a giant shamrock in support of St. Patrick's Day and to help promote the Olde Towne Pub Crawl which is set for Saturday, March 14th. This annual event brings hundreds of people to Olde Towne restaurants and establishments for St. Patrick's Day themed food, music and drink specials.

The painting is scheduled for 5:00pm on Wednesday evening. Motorists should be alert for barricades which are set up at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Franklin Street through Thursday morning, March 12th to allow for the painting. During this time, eastbound and westbound traffic on Mission Avenue will be permitted. Northbound and southbound traffic on Franklin Street will be limited to right turns on Mission Avenue.

The City of Bellevue urges all residents and citizens to celebrate St. Patrick's Day responsibly and to designate a sober driver or have a plan to call a cab or use a ride share program before partaking in the celebration!
