The City of Bellevue, in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Roads and the Federal Highway Administration invites the public to a public hearing, informational meeting on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed widening of 36th Street in Sarpy County prepared pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act. The intent of the hearing is to present information on the social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed project and to solicit comments, concerns, and questions from the public.
The meeting will be held Thursday, January 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, which is located 12210 S 36th Street in Bellevue.
The Public Hearing will include an informational project video that will be playing throughout the open house, an open house (5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) where the public can review displays and ask questions of the City officials and their consultant, video presentation (6:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.), and public hearing (6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.). The opportunity to comment verbally or in writing on the Draft Environmental Assessment will be provided at the hearing (verbal statements will be recorded) and written comments will be accepted until January 26, 2017. The Draft Environmental Assessment will be available for viewing on the city’s website (http://www.bellevue.net/), at the City Clerk’s office (210 Mission Avenue, Bellevue NE 68005), NDOR office (1500 Nebraska 2, Lincoln, NE 68502), FHWA office (100 Centennial Mall North, Room 220, Lincoln, NE 68508) and at the Bellevue Public Library (1003 Lincoln Road, Bellevue, NE 68005) prior to the meeting and open through the 30-day comment period, December 21 through January 26.
