Portions of the Keystone Trail near Hastings Banner Park to be Temporarily Closed (Update as of March 11, 2025)

March 13, 2025 Update - Due to weather conditions and equipment issues, the contractor’s work to abandon the City of Omaha’s existing interceptor sewer was delayed.  The Keystone Trail will now be closed between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm beginning Wednesday, March 12th through Tuesday, March 18th.

 

The City of Bellevue has been notified that portions of the Keystone Trail at the Copper Creek location which is located on east side of Big Papio Creek near Hastings Banner Park will be temporarily closed for the removal of City of Omaha’s existing interceptor sewer creek (Copper Creek) crossing pipe. This portion of the Keystone Trail was originally closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic starting on Monday, November 18th for what was expected to last up to four weeks.

 

As of Tuesday, March 11th the City of Bellevue received an update that due to weather conditions and equipment issues, the contractor’s work to abandon the City of Omaha’s existing interceptor sewer was delayed.  The Keystone Trail will now be closed between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm beginning Wednesday, March 12th through Tuesday, March 18th.
