Nebraska Department of Roads Starts Fairview Interchange Improvements
The City of Bellevue is getting a lot of calls and emails regarding what is going on at the Fairview interchange off of the Kennedy Freeway. This is not a City project but according to the Nebraska Department of Roads website:

The existing interchange at Fairview Road will be reconstructed to a more typical diamond interchange. The existing southbound off-ramp will be used-in-place. A new southbound on-ramp will be constructed and will replace the existing flyover. New northbound
on and off-ramps will also be constructed. Fairview Road will be reconstructed to approximately 3000’ east of the interchange. Fort Crook Road will be shifted to the east to provide for a
greater separation from the ramp terminals and will tie in to its existing location south of the bridge over the Papio Creek. A new frontage road will provide access along the east side of
US -75 to Grenoble Drive.

The intent of the improvements to the Fairview Road Interchange is to provide a safer interchange that will carry future traffic volumes efficiently and safely. Traffic will be maintained during construction. Temporary roads will be constructed to accommodate traffic.
