MUD Assures Residents that Water Quality in the Metro Area Meets all State and Federal Standards for Safe Drinking Water

The City of Bellevue has received a few inquiries and some residents have also contacted the City of Bellevue’s water provider, Metropolitan Utilities District (MUD), asking why the water may look discolored or taste different. The City of Bellevue has received assurances from representatives from MUD that water in Bellevue continues to meet all state and federal standards for safe drinking water. The water may look or taste different because the area rivers are experiencing spring runoff of vegetation due to snow and ice melt. This is temporary and MUD officials anticipate it could last a few more weeks. Please visit MUD’s water quality page at https://www.mudomaha.com/your-water/water-quality/ for more information and to see the current consumer confidence report.
