Mayor Hike Awards First Bellevue Mayor's Spotlight Award

City of Bellevue Mayor Rusty Hike presented Scott Logeman, from the Street Department, the first Bellevue Mayor's Spotlight Award this morning at the City's Southwest Shop.

Scott was recognized for his exemplary service during a recent snowfall event. On February, 10th, the City of Bellevue received word via Facebook from Emily Wendt wanting to thank a City of Bellevue Employee, who noticed that her elderly Mom had fallen in her driveway during the icy conditions. Fortunately, Mr. Logeman was plowing streets in the area and observed her fall and stopped the snow plow and got out to assist. After checking to ensure she was ok, Mr. Logeman helped get her back on her feet and led her back into her house before the weather conditions affected her further

The City of Bellevue is made up of a number of men and women who will go the extra mile for the Bellevue Community. Ms. Wendt was very appreciative of the extra effort that Mr. Logeman provided her mom during this stressful time and we are happy that she let us know about this incident. For his actions, Scott received a certificate of appreciation from Mayor Hike along with a gift card from our friends at DJ's Dugout. His Co-Workers also benefited from his recognition as two dozen doughnuts were also contributed for the Bellevue Southwest Shop Street Department Team to enjoy as they prepare for another winter weather event.

Thank you Scott for your fine representation of the City of Bellevue!
