Construction In And Around Washington Park Will Take Place Over The Next Few Weeks

The Public Works Department has announced that construction will be taking place in and around Washington Park over the coming weeks. The work will include construction of sidewalks and curb ramps and replacement of pavement in parking areas in order to improve ADA accessibility to and within the park.

This project is scheduled to begin Thursday, July 9th , and is expected to require approximately five weeks to complete. The work will be focused primarily around the perimeter of the park, and will be done in phases as shown on the graphic. While all streets around the park will remain open for the time being, on-street parking restrictions will be posted as necessary.

The Bellevue Farmers’ Market will continue to be held at the park on Saturday mornings, although available parking may be limited at times. Music in the Parks will be held as scheduled on Thursdays during the month of July. Further updates will be provided as the work progresses.
