City Offices Closed for 4th of July Holiday/Fireworks Discharge

The City of Bellevue offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th to observe the holiday.  As the holiday approaches the City would like to remind you of Bellevue City Code Ordinance Number 3808:  Unless first expressly approved by the city council, it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any other pyrotechnics or pyrotechnic devices in the city other than fireworks.  Unless first expressly approved by the city council, it shall be unlawful to discharge fireworks in the city except between:

1 – 8:00am to 10:00pm on any day from June 25th through July 3rd

2 – 8:00am to 12:00 midnight on July 4th

“Fireworks” shall mean and include only those fireworks that are permitted for sale by a retailer under the laws of the state.  We urge you to do your part and make our nation’s birthday safe and happy.
