City of Bellevue to Offer Tire Recycling on Saturday, June 25th

The City of Bellevue Street Department has received a Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grant to help clean up scrap tires.  The tire drop off will be held in conjunction with the last Saturday of the month tree/brush drop off on June 25th from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM at the old landfill site on Cedar Island Road at Rose Lane.  Both tires and brush will be accepted during this time but the tires MUST be removed from the rims.

This one time event is not intended for business and commercial disposal. The City reserves the right to refuse acceptance of tires from business trucks and equipment hauling to the site for the purpose of disposing tires. Residents will also be asked to provide I. D., showing that they live in the City, and fill out that information on participation forms at the site which will be returned to the state DEQ.

The last Saturday of the month brush drop off is normally only from 8 AM until noon, however due to the tire clean up the hours will be extended until 3:30pm. If you have any questions please contact the Streets Department during regular business hours at 402-293-3126
