On Tuesday, March 27th, 2018, the City of Bellevue will begin street repair work on west-bound Mission Ave from Wayne St. to Jackson St. The timing of this project coincides with spring break for Bellevue Public Schools in an effort to minimize traffic issues to school areas.
The right lane and center lanes will be closed at various times all week on this portion of Mission Ave. Two-way traffic will be posted and Mission Ave will remain open to traffic in the work zone. In addition, Madison St will be closed at the intersection of W Mission Ave. Please use alternate routes to access Madison St during the construction, such as Jackson St to West 22nd Ave., east to Madison St.
As with all roadway construction activities, this work may cause an inconvenience to you. Only with your help, by observing all temporary requests, can we minimize this inconvenience to the fullest extent of our ability. We are sure this temporary inconvenience will be adequately compensated by the lasting improvements made to your area.
Please do not move or otherwise tamper with barricades or other warning devices. They are the primary mechanism for identifying potentially unsafe conditions. If applicable, please advise others (including children) at your location of the upcoming work and the need to exercise due care when in areas near or adjacent to the construction areas and activities.
With no unforeseen delays, we anticipate the scheduled work to be completed as follows:
**Monday (March 26): – Barricading and lane restrictions in place
**Tuesday-Thursday (March 27-29) – tear-out, panel repairs
** Friday, March 30 – repair area completed and opened by 3:30PM, no restrictions
If you have any questions during this time, please feel free to contact the Street Department office at 402-293-3126
