City of Bellevue Reopens American Heroes Park to the Public After Flood Event

The City of Bellevue Public Works Department has opened American Heroes Park to the public after being closed for a few weeks during the Missouri River flooding event. The trails, fishing dock and pond are all open and the fountains will be put back in as soon as possible.

Water has receded out of the Winsor Cove Campground at Haworth Park and Winsor Cove crews have been on site all week, working on preliminary cleanup efforts. Winsor Cove remains closed at this time but please look for more information as the cleanup continues.

Access to Haworth Park is still closed just past the entrance to the baseball/softball field parking lots. The public boat docks will remain closed for the foreseeable future as cleanup continues. Please do not tamper with, move or go around the barriers that are in place.

The baseball/softball fields did not receive any damage from the flood event and remain open for use and league play.

The City of Bellevue would like to thank you for your cooperation during the flood event and the cleanup process. Updated pictures from American Heroes Park and Haworth Park are in the gallery below.
