City of Bellevue Flood Update - 8:00pm on Sunday, June 30, 2024

Flood update and pictures for Sunday, June 30th at 8pm from the City of Bellevue and the Papio- Missouri River NRD:

  • A flood warning for the Missouri River remains in effect until the morning of Wednesday, July 3rd.
  • The Missouri River at Omaha is in moderate flood stage. The river crested at 32.79 ft on Saturday morning. The river level is dropping and is close to falling back into minor flood stage.
  • Although rain is likely Monday and Tuesday it has been calculated that there is ample conveyance room in the Platte River and the Papillion Creek system.
  • The Papio-Missouri Natural Resource District (NRD) will likely remove the flood protections at the railroad tracks and Highway 370 in Bellevue on Monday morning.
  • The City of Bellevue, Offutt AFB, the Army Corps of Engineers and the Papio-Missouri Natural Resource District (NRD) are continuing to monitor the water levels and the status of the levee system.
