City of Bellevue and Papillion Sanitation Release Trash & Yardwaste Info for Recently Annexed Neighborhoods

The City of Bellevue and it's Solid Waste Services Contractor, Papillion Sanitation, have sent out a letter to residents of neighborhoods that have been recently annexed by the City of Bellevue. This letter, which is included as an attachment to this article, states that City of Bellevue solid waste services will begin during the week of February 3, 2020 for the following neighborhoods:

Oakhurst - Oakridge East       Fox Ridge Estates    Heartland Hills

Pilgrims landing                      Tregaron                   Williamsburg

If you are a resident of any of these neighborhoods the City of Bellevue and Papillion Sanitation are asking you to do the following with respects to your weekly trash, yard waste and recycling services:

  • Continue service with your current trash hauler
  • Visit the web page www.YourCartPlaysAPart.com to view how the new City trash program works
  • Between October 21 and November 15, 2019, order the correct size carts for Trash, Yard Waste and Recycling
  • Expect delivery of your new carts between January 6th through January 31st, 2020

The fee for City trash service will be charged a new line item in your utility bill from MUD. If you choose to stay with your current hauler, you will still be charged the minimum amount of $14.10 per month which covers cost for the City Clean Up, solid waste services for public services such as police stations as well as the City Tree Dump.

The City of Bellevue and Papillion Sanitation apologizes for any inconvenience due to the delayed start date for trash service in these neighborhoods. This delay is to allow time for ordering and delivery of carts, an important step that could not legally be done until the annexation was given final approval from the Bellevue City Council.
