VFW Post 10785 will conduct Bellevue’s Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29, at 11:00 A.M. at the Bellevue Cemetery, 13th Ave & Franklin St. The ceremony will feature patriotic music by the Sarpy Serenaders, the presentation of the colors and each service flag, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ traditional remembrance of the fallen.
This annual ceremony honors the men and women and their families who have courageously fought for our country throughout our history. It will also include the reading of the general order that established the first Memorial Day ceremony, laying red, white, blue and gold wreaths acknowledging the sacrifices our fallen warriors have made, a rifle volley, and the playing of Taps.
