Bellevue Tree Dump and Cooling/Charging Center Update - Sunday, August 4, 2024

As of 9:30am this morning, OPPD still reports 47,000 customers throughout the area and over 6300 customers in Sarpy County alone without power. OPPD and mutual aid crews will continue to work on complex restoration work today. Outage numbers will fluctuate due to some new outages as a result of trees. limbs or other objects weakened by the storm and giving way, interfering with power equipment. Please report any new outages that pop up to OPPD.com, the OPPDConnect app, or by calling 1-800-554-OPPD (6773).

The City of Bellevue will keep both Tree Dump drop-off sites at 8902 Cedar Island Road near the Rose Lane intersection and the vacant lot near the baseball fields at Haworth Park, open through the end of the day today (Sunday, August 4, 2024)

Starting on Monday, August 5th, only the Haworth Park drop-off location will remain open during daylight hours through the end of the day on Sunday, August 11th. The Cedar Island Road drop-off location will close to the public due to the fact that it is running out of room to stack the large amount of tree debris that has been dropped of and still have a suitable work area for city crews and safe access for the public.

Since there is still a number of Bellevue residents without power, the Lied Activity Center and the Bellevue Public Library will serve as cooling/charging centers today. Lied Center at 2700 Arboretum Dr. will be open from 12pm to 5pm and the Bellevue Library at 1003 Lincoln Drive will also be open from 12pm to 5pm.

We appreciate your patience as we work to clean up after this storm. Please look for more updates from the City of Bellevue this week.
