The Bellevue Public Works Department has announced that Galvin Road will be closed to all through traffic between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Galvin Road will be completely closed to all traffic between Birchcrest Road and Englewood Drive. Local traffic will be able to access businesses and residences along Galvin Road outside of the primary work zone, as shown on the attached graphic. Through traffic is advised to utilize Fort Crook Road as an alternate route.
The purpose of this closure is to allow the contractor to safely remove the steel girders from the former pedestrian bridge.
In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, the closure will take place on Sunday, July 9th.
