Bellevue Police Department Issues a Press Release with Update Information from a Recent Indecent Exposure Incident at American Heroes Park.

The Bellevue Police Department has issued a press release regarding a recent indecent exposure incident at Haworth Park:

Here is the text of the release from Bellevue Police Department Captain, Tim Melvin:

"On 7-29-24 at approximately 7:30pm, Bellevue Officers were dispatched to American Heroes Park, located in Olde Towne Bellevue. An adult female reported that she was jogging on the path around the lake, when she ran by a dark colored SUV that was occupied by a white male with long brown hair. It was reported that the male then engaged in sexual acts while watching the female jogger. The female ran to her vehicle at which time the suspect got in his vehicle and fled the area. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division, which obtained surveillance video of the suspect vehicle.

On 8-1-24, Bellevue Detectives cited 34-year-old Matthew James Gogarty of Bellevue for Public Indecency, which is a Class II Misdemeanor. He was released after signing the citation and is scheduled to appear in Sarpy County Court on September 18,2024, at 9:00am."
