The City of Bellevue Parks Department received a $3,064.96 grant today from Chasers Charities during a Check Presentation Ceremony this afternoon at the baseball/softball fields at Haworth Park. Chasers Charities is the new charitable arm of the Omaha Storm Chasers with an emphasis on supporting the local community through contributions that benefit youth sports and recreation facilities and activities. The City of Bellevue Parks Director Brian Madison, who joined Mayor Rita Sanders, Public Works Director Jeff Roberts, Recreation Director Jim Shada as well as Grant Zimmer and Clint Wilson from the Parks Department at the presentation, stated that these funds will be used for infield maintenance equipment to help keep the Bellevue baseball and softball fields in good shape with the many games that are played at the fields each year. The City of Bellevue thanks the Omaha Storm Chasers for this generous contribution and we look forward to using this new field maintenance equipment in 2018!
