Congratulations to Mayor Rita Sanders and her husband Rick for being recognized as part of the 2016 class of inductees in the Sarpy County Business Hall of Fame at a ceremony at Bellevue University this afternoon. This is the 5th year of this annual event which is coordinated by the Suburban Newspaper with the intent of honoring and recognizing the legends and leaders in Sarpy County.
Other inductees this afternoon include Kim Ahlers from Kajoma's Boutique in Papillion, Bob McKinney from McKinney's Food Center in Gretna, Sharon and Jim Shaw from Soaring Wings Vineyard and the Bank Of Nebraska who has been supporting small businesses in Sarpy County for 40 years.
Past winners of the award who were in attendance were also recognized and presented commemorative pins. These winners included Bellevue Businessmen, George Rybar and Frank Kumor as well as the family of the late John Thompson.
Congratulations to all of the Inductees and thank you for all that you do for Sarpy County, the fastest growing county in Nebraska!
