Bellevue Mayor Rita Sanders and Public Works Director Jeff Roberts want to assure Bellevue Residents that City Crews are preparing for the worst as a potential ice storm remains in the forecast. Public Works Director Roberts has reported that City Crews have started pre-treating the roadways, particularly bridges, intersections and main thoroughfares. City Officials will continue to monitor the situation throughout the weekend and crews are ready to be dispatched once the ice/winter weather begins. Mr. Roberts would like to remind Bellevue residents of the potential hazards that an ice storm can create and if the winter weather event materializes as forecasted, he encourages motorists to stay off the roads as much as possible and to use extreme caution if you absolutely need to travel.
The City of Bellevue will be releasing further information on this potential winter storm as the situation warrants.
