Representatives of Beardmore Chevrolet of Bellevue presented Bellevue Recreation Director Jim Shada a check for $500 this morning towards the City's Baseball/Softball program this morning during a short ceremony at the dealership. Sales Managers Zane Reed and Dave Schoonover made the presentation to Mr. Shada and a number of youth ball players as part of Chevy's nationwide Youth Baseball Program.
This program is geared to empowering kids through the power of play. According to their website Chevy believes that, "Youth sports aren’t just about having fun and staying active. They also raise self-esteem, teach teamwork and provide important life lessons. That’s why we’re dedicated to youth sports. From donating equipment and providing uniforms to sponsoring clinics and refurbishing fields, we’re here to help empower the next generation of Major League hopefuls — both on, and off, the field"
The City of Bellevue and the Bellevue Recreation Department appreciate this contribution from our friends at Beardmore Chevrolet. This donation will be used to enhance the Bellevue Recreation Department's Youth Baseball/Softball programs.
