Where are the no parking areas within the City?

PARKING - OBSTRUCTING DRIVEWAYS, ALLEYS, etc.

(Section 18-87, Bellevue City Code)

1. No operator of any motor vehicle, whether the vehicle is attended or not, shall park on any street or highway within the city, in any manner that would interfere with ingress and egress of any private driveway, established alley; or in the lane of traffic proceeding in the opposite direction; or within 2' on either side of the opening of any private driveway, public driveway or established alley.

2. No person shall park any motor vehicle:

a. Within 15' of any fire hydrant.

b. Within 30' of any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign, or other traffic control device located at the side of a roadway.

c. Within 20' of a crosswalk at an intersection.

d On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street, highway or roadway.

e. On a sidewalk.

f. Within 20' of the driveway entrance to any fire station; and on the side of street, highway or roadway opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75' of such entrance when properly signposted.

g. Along any curb line painted red or yellow.

h. Within 30' of points on the curb immediately opposite the closest end of a safety zone.

I. Within any intersection of a street, highway, or roadway or sidewalk area to in any manner interfere with the use thereof by the public.

3. All vehicles parked upon a two-way roadway must be parked with the flow of the traffic. No parking is allowed facing the flow of traffic. (Section 39-673, Nebraska State Statutes).

4. No person shall park a vehicle upon any roadway for the principal purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale; or greasing or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency.

PARKING - TRUCKS

(Section 18-95, Bellevue City Code)

1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park a truck, semi-trailer, tractor or truck tractor with a five-ton license certificate or plate and which exceeds 8' in width or 21' in length on any street within the city except for that period of time necessary for loading and unloading, delivery or collection of goods, wares and merchandise, but in no event shall this time period exceed 2 hours.
