What are the City's ordinances concerning graffiti?
- It is unlawful for any person to write, paint, or draw upon any wall, rock, bridge, building, fence, gate, other structure, or other real or personal property within the city, either publicly or privately owned, any drawing, figure or mark of the type commonly known and referred to as "graffiti".
- Violators are subject to fines up to $500 and/or imprisonment of up to 6 months.
- Once notified of graffiti, the City will issue a notice to the owner requiring the removal or covering of the graffiti within 10 days. If the graffiti is still present after this period, the City is authorized to remove or cover the graffiti and bill the owner for the service.
