City of Bellevue to Host Free Seminar Discussing the Impact of “AI” on the Local Economy

The City of Bellevue is inviting the public and all interested business leaders to a free event to explore the impact of AI on the local economy. Please plan on joining us for an engaging discussion on how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping industries, workforce dynamics, and economic growth – both in Nebraska and throughout Nebraska.

This free event will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 10am to 12:30pm at the Beardmore Event Center in Bellevue. Local experts in the field will lead a discussion that will explore AI’s opportunities, challenges, and actionable steps Bellevue can take to harness its potential for business and job creation.

Thanks to the contributions of premier sponsor Holland Basham Architects and supporting sponsors Boyd Jones and Olsson, the speakers will include the following local experts:

  • Dr. Ernie Goss – A leading economist and Director of the Institute for Economic Inquiry at Creighton University. Dr. Goss is known for his expertise in regional economic forecasting and policy analysis.
  • Dr. Zhigang Feng – An Economics Professor at Omaha University. Dr. Feng is an internationally recognized expert known for AI – driven computational research in macroeconomic modeling, as well as studies on the macroeconomic implications of health care policy and national debt sustainability.

Please plan on taking advantage of this free learning opportunity right here in Bellevue.
