***Permits & Inspections Updated Hours - issued Tuesday, September 17, 2024- The Permits and Inspections front counter will be closed to the public as originally stated on Friday, September 20, 2024. However, starting on Monday, September 23, 2024, and until further notice, the hours for the public at the Permits & Inspections Department will be 10:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Permits staff will use the first two hours of every day to catch up with the high volume of permits that continue to come in. This change was based off public feedback that asked for the Permits Office to be open to the public 5 days a week but still gives staff a chance to work through this unprecedented workload.***

The City of Bellevue has announced that the City’s Permits & Inspections Office will be closed to the public on Friday's until further notice. Due to an abnormal number of recent storms, Permits & Inspections Staff are continuing to be inundated with an influx of new permit requests that are coming into the office at high numbers. These Friday closures of the office to the public, will give Permits and Inspections staff the opportunity to catch up on issuing permits the entire workday. The Permits and Inspections Office will assess the workload on a weekly basis to determine when these Friday closures are no longer necessary with the goal of operating as efficiently as possible while giving the public as much notice as possible.

The Permits & Inspections Office is located at 1510 Wall Street. The office will be open to the public daily from 8am to 4:30pm on Monday through Thursday at this time. The City of Bellevue appreciates the patience and understanding from the public during this time while staff navigates this unprecedented workload.
