Bellevue to Co-Host a Free Community Fishing Event on June, 19 2025 at American Heroes Park

Bring the family to Bellevue’s American Heroes Park for the first Community Fishing Event of the season to learn more about fishing and fly fishing on June 19, 2025.

Join the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission and volunteer fishing instructors to learn how to fish. If you already know how to fish, please bring a child or novice angler and the experts will help you teach them. All equipment and bait will be provided or you may use your own equipment, and fishing instructors will be available to guide you. There is no charge to participate, but anyone 16 or older will need a current Nebraska Fishing License to actively fish.

This event will be held from 6-8pm at the lake at American Heroes Park. It is designed to introduce or reintroduce families and individuals to fishing. Game and Parks staff and certified fishing instructors teach people of all ages the basics of this fun and relaxing activity. Free instruction, loaner equipment and bait will be available. Look for the Family Fishing Trailer and see you at American Heroes Park on June 19th.
