Rich Casey

City Council - Ward 2

Rich Casey was appointed to fill the Ward 2 City Council position following the death of City Councilman Bob Stinson.  Rich served as a Bellevue City Planning Commissioner for seven years and on the Community Development Block Grant committee for eight years prior to his appointment to the Bellevue City Council.  He is a member of the Audit Committee and Hard Surface Parking Committee. Rich holds a Bachelor of Aviation Management degree and Associate degrees in Personnel Management and Aviation Technology.

 

Rich served in numerous flight and leadership positions throughout his 27-year Air Force career.    Following his retirement from the Air Force in 2002, Rich taught school at Bellevue East High School for two years prior to assuming his present position as the Bellevue Public Schools Director of Transportation. In his current position he has served as the President of the Nebraska School Transportation Association and Metropolitan Omaha Education Consortium Transportation Subcommittee Chairman.  Rich is currently the President of the Fontenelle Hills Homeowners Association.

 

Rich and his wife India have been married for 45 years and have two children and six grandchildren.
